К-19 became the first Soviet nuclear-power submarine. It was an excellent submarine ship by its performance characteristics. During the first combat patrolling of the ship the serious breakdown in the reactor tank occurred on its board. It took place in the North Atlantic, July 4,1961. Regardless of their own health the seamen were keeping a ship damage control. In spite of everything the ship had remained at duty right down to 1990.

Triera is the main type of a battle ship of the Mediterranean period of the Greek-Persian wars (V-IV centuries BC). The main weapon of the triera was a copper bind ram, the extension of the keel beam. The speed of the ship on oars was up to 18 km/h. The triera had a big square sail and a small sail on the inclined mast in the bow part. The masts were removable. In the course of a battle the triera accelerated and thus could break oars of an enemy ship stopping it. Than it used its ram. The crew of the ship had more than 200 men including oarsmen, sailors and heavily armored hoplites.

Despite having just a medium displacement of 19,900 tons, the Enterprise, affectionately known as the “Big E,” played a major role in many important battles in the Pacific. Of the 22 major naval actions in the Pacific theater in WWII, the Enterprise was present for 18 of them, and though she was damaged 15 times she always returned to action and became a symbol of the U.S. Navy’s determination for victory. This assembly kit accurately reproduces this famous ship as she appeared during the later stages of the war, complete with increased AA armament and Hellcat, Corsair, Avenger, and Helldiver aircraft.

Completed in 1941 as the third Yorktown-class carrier and the U.S. Navy’s eighth carrier overall, the Hornet took part in many operations before succumbing to enemy attack in the South Pacific in 1942. She is most famous for acting as the base for the Doolittle Raid in April 1942, launching B-25 bombers to attack Japan. This model depicts the ship as she appeared during that operation and even includes parts for sixteen B-25 bombers. With a high level of detail throughout, including the elevator walls, modellers can really enjoy creating a diorama of the launch scene.

Serving from 1943 to 1991, the BB-62 New Jersey is the most decorated battleship in U.S. Naval history. Launched in 1942, the New Jersey was one of 4 Iowa class battleships built by the U.S. Navy. Like other Iowa class ships she boasted a 45,000 ton displacement, an amazing 212,000hp, was packed with three turrets of 50 caliber 40.6cm triple guns, and despite her large size, with hull stretching over 270m, was designed narrow enough to pass through the Panama Canal. Following serving in major battles in the Pacific during WWII, she was then deployed to both the Korean and Vietnam wars. In 1982, she was upgraded with modern technology and weapon’s systems enabling her to launch Tomahawk cruise missiles and Harpoon anti-ship missiles. Following providing fire support during the Lebanon conflict she served in the Gulf War, and then was finally decommissioned for the last time in 1991.

This is an assembly kit of the Taiho, an aircraft carrier which was completed in March 1944, near the end of WWII. Built with a new design philosophy, she was expected to be a mainstay of Japan’s Mobile Fleet, but was sunk by submarine attack just 3 months into her service life. Distinctive features of the ship such as the armored flight deck and enclosed bow have been accurately reproduced. The bridge and anti-aircraft armament are also sharply rendered. Modellers can choose to depict the ship’s mast in either cruising or battle stations position and the elevators can be assembled in either up or down position as well. Kit includes parts to depict Mitsubishi A6M5 fighters and Nakajima B6N torpedo bombers.
