Devlan is doomed. This mining world lies in the path of the Kraken Hive Fleet, and as the swarm approaches, it is being frantically evacuated. But something horrific has already reached Devlan: a burrowing warrior organism of exceptional lethality, soon to be known as the Red Dread. Standing against this abomination are the determined soldiers of a Shade squad.
