This 1:72 scale replica of the Hawker Typhoon Mk.IB represents one of the RAF’s most effective ground attack aircraft from the Second World War. Comprising 74 pieces and rated at skill level 1, this kit is ideal for young modellers aged 8 and up, showcasing a wingspan of 174mm upon completion. By 1943, the RAF required a specialised ground attack fighter, and the Typhoon was well-suited for this mission. Its robust engine enabled it to carry a payload of up to two 1,000lb (454kg) bombs. Starting in September 1943, Typhoons were also equipped with four, eight, or occasionally 12 “60lb” RP-3 rockets. The kit offers markings for two distinct paint schemes, allowing for the creation of authentic D-Day era Typhoons.
