Opis:

The Renault 5 Turbo was a special version of the inimitable 5, developed for rally races. With a 1.4-liter inline-4 turbo engine in place of the rear seats the Turbo had a midship setup and was equipped with reinforced 4-wheel independent double wishbone suspension. Its 3-door hatchback body used lightweight aluminum and plastic panels across the board, and with bulging overfenders, integrated bumper air dam skirts and a roof spoiler, its appearance was a significant departure from the original Renault 5. The works car won the first global rally of 1981 and was a familiar sight near the top of timesheets thereafter.
